Hey, I’m Michael! I’ve always been someone who loves good people, good energy, and making the most of every day. I grew up in Ohio, spending my childhood outside—building forts, riding bikes, and swimming all summer. After high school, I studied natural and historical interpretation in college, which gave me unforgettable experiences guiding canoe trips and nature walks, and taught me the power of storytelling and connection. I then spent about 10 years out West, taking on all kinds of people-focused jobs, from crowd management at huge events to sales, learning how to stay calm and handle any situation.

 

Eventually, I made my way to the mountains of Swannanoa, NC, and landed a job at one of the most beautiful outdoor wedding venues you can imagine—23 acres of flowers, mountain views, goats, and horses. I started helping out with the property and quickly became the full-time DJ for every event. Over the years, I was lucky enough to DJ more than 300 weddings. I learned how to read the room, work closely with planners and photographers, time every moment just right, and create a vibe that feels unforgettable. When a flood took out the venue in 2023, it was a tough loss, but I had already started building something of my own.

 

That’s when MB Entertainment really took off. I’ve been doing my own thing ever since—working with amazing couples, teaming up with great vendors, and turning all that experience into meaningful celebrations. I get to help people create lifelong memories attached to music, and that never gets old.

When I’m not at an event, I’m usually with my amazing wife, Trenda. We’re always cooking something up—whether it’s in the kitchen, at the beach, camping, or finding treasures at thrift stores. We love slowing life down and building it on purpose. That same love for connection and creativity is at the heart of everything I do.
